Palazzo Onori

In the heart of the old town of Staffolo, in the main square, we offer for sale Palazzo Onori, an old building of the Fifteenth century.

The Palace covers a surface of averagely 250 square meters, with a terrace of 61 square meters.

The main entrance is glazed, there is an ancient stairway in original cotto tiles and vaulted ceilings. The main door from the 5th century leads to the first section of the cellar, now used as study room, with wooden ceiling, cotto tiles and stone walls, that were stunningly renovated. The stairs lead to the underground floors where we can see also an ancient cave into tuff and clay, with vaulted ceilings and cotto flooring, with a small indoors water source. This is a unique place for its architectural beauty and for some drawings that are still visible.

On the first floor there is a large sitting room with fireplace, stone walls, beams from the 15th century with fire stamped brand of the ancient family, with ceilings who reach 7 meters in height where you can see the family’s coat of arms. There are three large doors, leading to the wide terrace of 61 square meters.

There’s a large kitchen and modern dining room with all comforts, a bathroom with ancient pieces of furniture and a shower integrated into the original building materials, and a fireplace.

Then there are two double bedrooms, one has an ensuite bathroom with shower and fireplace.

The ceilings of the whole building are made of oak wood, with sandblasted restored tiles, while the floorings look like concrete. The heating system is fired by methane, then there is a wood pellets stove and three fireplaces.

There is a small outbuilding used a storage, and it could also be used as woodshed.

The building was recently restored and renovated. The installed systems (plumbing, electricity and heating) are new and comply with regulations in force.
