Villa Nidastore

During the Renaissance, Nidastore represented the last southern outpost of the Duchy of Montefeltro. It is a small but charming castle-hamlet between the provinces of Pesaro Urbino and Ancona.

The estate is located on the edge of the village and the villa with the grounds was the home of a rich and powerful family that owned a great deal of farmland.

The property you see, enclosed by a stone wall, includes grounds of two hectares and three large buildings, but you could also obtain more land, up to thirteen hectares, and another farmhouse.

This is the main villa, measuring approximately 626 square metres, set over three floors, with 28 rooms. The ancillary buildings add up to a total area of approximately 1245 square metres.

The villa, although externally unplastered, is nevertheless in good structural condition, and as can be seen from the photos has rooms that have been maintained in harmony with the style of the era, even down to the upholstery and fittings, and the furniture is included in the sale; there is also a small chapel inside the villa. The floors are also in excellent condition, and the ceilings are extensively frescoed.

The building to the side, long and narrow, is historically older, and the interior requires restoration. It has rich architectural and decorative details, of a different style from the seemingly more recent villa.

There is also a third single-storey building that could serve as a large dining area or a study area. Very beautiful and bright.

Of particular interest is the crescent at the front of the villa, in Palladian style, which both decorates and complements the style of the building.

The grounds are very large, with centuries-old trees, and in the garden there are historical artefacts dating back to Roman times. The park is adjacent to a stream, with a small waterside beach area.

It is accessible via a handy asphalted road. The village of San Lorenzo in Campo is less than a kilometre away.

The sea is less than 30 minutes away, as is the slip road to the A14 motorway.
