The area: the farmhouse in Castello of Loretello is one of the most beautiful and uncommon farmhouses in its almost squared shape that you could find in the region Marche.<\/p>\n
It leaves an impression when you arrive in this adorable place, that is the so-called area of \u201cArcevia\u2019s Castles\u201d together with Castel San Pietro and Palazzo of Arcevia. The monks of Fonte Avellana built the borgo of Loretello in the Eleventh century, then later it became fortress of the Duchy of Montefeltro, as the most southern bastion of the Lord of Urbino, i.e. the Duke Federico da Montefeltro. This is a historical place indeed, a jewel immersed into the countryside painted in chiaroscuro by the surrounding hills and highlighted by the contrast with the mountains of Catria in the background. This is a mystical and emotionally evocative place, which can be reached by a well-kept provincial road. Driving through this road already leads you through unexpected perceptions, in a space lapse that is certainly good for your soul though almost incredible to your eyes. It was not a case, that monks chose that place.<\/p>\n
Loretello is a small borgo today, between San Lorenzo in Campo and Castelleone di Suasa, not far from the shores of Senigallia that is only 30 minutes\u2019 drive. Local people and some foreigner who chose this place as their second fatherland inhabit the borgo.<\/p>\n
There\u2019s also a good restaurant and a small museum on agricultural culture. People visit Loretello because it is a very evocative place.<\/p>\n
The house and the courtyard: the building has an almost squared section, an uncommon example of rural architecture of the Nineteenth century, with its unusual – but visually surprising – stripes effect, in ocher red bricks and local white stones, particularly beautiful during the sunset when the color of the house turns into deep red. Fittings are original, windows and roof tiles, the lintel\u2019s motif over doors, the corners of the building. The house covers a surface of \u2026\u2026\u2026 over two floors. Indoors needs the property to be completely restored. The outdoors courtyard is 6000 square meters, but you could buy a larger plot of land. The courtyard includes a stunning olive grove and a park with centuries-old oak trees. Water, electricity and gas connections are nearby the property, this is not a problem at all.<\/p>\n
