[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]We recently posted few articles regarding the concept of villa across history and the difference between ideal villa<\/strong> and rustic villa<\/strong>, actually the origins of the building structure that today we simply name villa<\/em><\/strong>. It has now become a synonym with magnificence and aesthetic elegance, but a long time ago it used to be simply the dwelling of the dominus<\/em> who spent there his time enjoying otium<\/em>, far from the bustle of the city. In the late Middle Ages, and across the Renaissance, the concept of the villa entered a period of decline and in its place appeared the revolutionary idea of farmhouse<\/strong>, an idea that was strongly linked to that of community and tradition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat is this valley for a family coming from the sea, who does not know anything about the moon and the bonfires? You must have gained experience, have it deep into your DNA like local wine and polenta, then you can tell you know it and you don\u2019t even need to talk about it<\/em>\u201d, this is a quotation from Cesare Pavese<\/a><\/strong> who described the role of the farmland in the life of men. Way before Pavese was born the farmland represented a fatherland, a real way of living, not only a place of pleasure for rich Italians\u2019 souls.<\/p>\n

The farmland represented sweat, hard work, strain but also passion, strength and an infinite feeling of love, belonging and a tight bond with land.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hence the concept of farmhouse<\/strong>, a building structure that is often made of stone, whose construction is on two floors and designed to accommodate anything related to farming, from breeding to crop processing. The whole family was involved in the task and the energy of each person created a synergy way beyond the simple and hard work of the fields: this is what Pavese wrote about; this is where many agricultural communities were born, including that of the region Marche.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1516979333320{margin-bottom: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;padding-bottom: 0px !important;}”]<\/p>\n
