Farmhouse of the Nymphs is an adorably restored farmhouse located…
62021 Apiro MC, Italia
A beautiful Eighteenth-century monastery looking over the valley of Sant’Urbano between the provinces of Ancona and Macerata.
The monastery is magical, fascinating and mystical, the area belongs historically to the Romanesque abbeys which still operate, among lawns and grazing lands, immersed into nature, the atmosphere is relaxing, for everyone who searches something special.
The main building and the adjacent Church were restored with much care, reusing the original materials, and also its furniture is the result of a careful and specific research, with the aim of preserving the original spirit of the place, and it was a real miracle of love.
The idea was that the house had to be warm and cozy, the stones allowed to keep intact the main features of the building, which used to be in the past a small monastery separated from Sant’Urbano and to remain in harmony with the surrounding nature. The park is rich in ancient elm trees and other rare trees. Then later it was enlarged with a small botanical garden at the main entrance of the real estate, following the road, which meanders from the house. There is also a small vineyard over 1 hectare, which produces wine, and leads to a large and bright lawn, where there is also a large outbuilding in stone, well-kept but not yet restored, while you can see the round apsis of the church.
The entrance opens with a long corridor that leads to the other side of the garden, mostly flat land. On the sides of the corridor, there are the dining room, the TV room, the living room with a fireplace with a great view of the garden and the mountains in the background. On the right side of the corridor, the entrance to the sacristy, the baths, and the church, followed by the kitchen with fireplace and dining room and the laundry room.
On the upper floors, there are the seven bedrooms with six bathrooms, large entrances, and open stairways, between restored balustrades and polished terracotta floors, oak beams and exposed tiles.
The rooms are all very spacious and characteristic, with panoramic views of the surrounding villages and pastures, bathrooms with showers and restored ancient baths.
Just stay for a week, and your soul gains tranquility, a real poetic place, full of inspiration!
The rooms are all-bright and overlook the garden.
Original restored terracotta floors restored antique doors, double-glazed windows, underfloor heating system, and original fireplaces. Restoration of the Church with specialized decorators painters and original authentic furnishings.
The garden was designed by a Milan studio of garden architects (www.hortensia.com) while the architectural design of the buildings was developed by the architecture firm of Sergio Marinelli www.sergiomarinelli.com.
The swimming pool, of 5 x 12 meters, has been installed in the most panoramic area of the garden, but discreet and far from the house, as it should be. Large solarium.
